6. We Are All Alike
Words and Music by Hap Palmer

Like each flake of snow, floating through the sky
We are all unique, we are all alike
Take a look around, you will see its true
You're a lot like me, I'm a lot like you.

Everybody has eyes, they come in different shapes
Some are brown, some are blue, some are gray or green
Everybody has skin, it comes in many shades
It may be dark, it may be light, or somewhere in between

Everybody lives, everybody breathes
Everybody needs, everybody dreams, everyone is born,
and changes through the years
We can laugh and cry, and share our hopes and fears.

We all have a body, any size will do
It may be thick, it may be thin, it could be short or tall
We all have a heart, let it beat with pride
A common bond goes on and on, we're people one and all!

Like each flake of snow, floating through the sky
We are all unique, we are all alike.
Take a look around, you will see it's true
You're a lot like me, I'm a lot like you.

9. Numbers Can Tell About You
Words and Music by Hap Palmer

Numbers can tell about size and speed
Time and temperature too
They can tell us how many, how far, how high
And numbers can tell about you.

What time do you rise in the morning?
What time do you go to bed?
How many people are in your family?
How many pets do you have if any?
May we ask how old you are?
How old would you like to be?
What time do you get home from school each day?
Do you remember your phone number?
Oh, numbers can tell about you.

How many books have you read this year?
How many hobbies do you have?
Do you have a favorite number?
If you could travel back in time, how far would you go?
Numbers can tell about size and speed

Repeat Chorus

10. We’re On Our Way
Words and Music by Hap Palmer

Chorus:
We're on our way, on our way
Reaching out to the big wide world
We're on our way, on our way
Growing more and more each day
We're on our way, on our way
Reaching out to the big wide world
Life's a journey to be sure
And we're on our way.

Making friends and playing games together
Reading books and drawing pictures too
Taking trips, exploring different places
Each day we discover something new.

Repeat Chorus

And we use the magic of imagination
Build enchanted castles in the sky
We make believe we're tigers in the jungle
Or astronauts above the stars so high.

We on our way, on our way
Reaching out tot he big wide world
We're on our way, on our way
Growing more and more each day
We're on our way, on our way
Reaching out to the big wide world
Life's a journey to be sure
And we're on our way!

14. Homemade Band
Words and Music by Hap Palmer

Here's a little story about a Homemade Band
Some friends of mine made by hand
Sally sound a bolt and she hit it with a spoon
Then she smiled and sang this tune:
She cried, Oooh- aah- and everyone could understand
That Sally was having fun with the Homemade Band.

Jackie found some bottle caps
And nailed them to a piece of wook
He shook that thing with a jing a ling
And it was really sounding good
He cried, Oooh- aah- and everyone could understand
That Jackie was having fun with the Homemade Band

Steve and Susan saved several soda cans
And empty plastic bottles, too
They dropped in little beads, dry beans or rice
And made some shakers good as new
Rosa found some plywood scraps
And strips of wood that weren't too thick
With glue she made a hollow block
And tapped it with a little stick
She cried, Ooh-aah- and everyone could understand
That Rosa was having fun with the Homemade Band.

Paco cut some pieces from a hardwood dowel
And made a pair of sticks to play
Seiji strung some bells on a piece of string
And they sounded just like Santa's sleigh
Playing all together you could hear their sound
Ringing all across the land
People come from everywhere to listen to
The rhythm of the Homemade Band
They cried, Oooh-aaah- and everyone could understand
That my friends were having fun with the Homemade Band

Music by Hap Palmer
Based on traditional chant with additional words by Hap Palmer

Five little monkeys jumping on the bed
They all fell down and bumped their heads
Mama called the doctor and the doctor said
No more monkeys jumping on the bed!
So they thought and thought then said.
Let's hop instead!

Five little monkeys hopping on the bed
They all fell down and bumped their heads
Mama call the doctor and the doctor said
No more monkeys hopping on the bed!
So they thought and thought then said
Let's turn instead!

Five little monkeys turning on the bed
They all fell down and bumped their heads
Mama called the doctor and the doctor said
No more monkeys turning on the bed
So they thought and thought and then said
Let's jump outside!

Five little monkeys jumping on the lawn
They just kept jumping on and on
The doctor told mama, there's nothing wrong
Just let those monkeys keep jumping on the law!
